Since graduating with his MBA in finance from Wayne State University, Jerel Rumbley has gone on to pursue an accomplished management career. A Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Jerel Rumbley has a record of utilizing his training in ways that have improved efficiency for his employers.
Throughout his career, he has championed the Six Sigma system to his employers, often with strong results. For instance, during his tenure as the general manager of Meridian Automotive Systems, the company achieved a year-over-year increase in EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) of more than 10%. Finally, as a plant manager at a Tyco Electronics plant, he increased productivity metrics by 16.4% through work observation techniques. In addition, he attained $220,000 in savings by reducing copper plating variation by 31 percent.
Aside from his Six Sigma certifications, Jerel Rumbley has trained in the Toyota Production System. He has also participated in leadership and crisis management programs through SkillSoft.
