Martin Karcz, MSc, MBA, is a portfolio manager who manages funds for both high net worth personal and corporate clients. Currently a Director of Wealth Management at ScotiaMcLeod in West Vancouver, British Columbia, he also is dedicated to charitable activities. Martin is a board member for the Children’s Hearing and Speech Centre, a nonprofit organization that provides educational resources for children who are deaf or hard of hearing. Martin Karcz participated in the inaugural CIBC Climb for the Cure, and in 2004 climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania as part of a fundraiser to benefit cancer research.
As an active sportsman, Martin Karcz has engaged in bike racing, skiing, and climbing all over the world, including the Andes, the Alps, Alaska, the Rockies, and the Himalayas. He also accomplished the difficult task of solo climbing and skiing down Mount McKinley in record time. Mr. Karcz and his wife have two children and an Australian cattle dog.
