Engaged in house flipping, Justin DeVinney started renovating and selling homes as a hobby. Today, he operates The DeVinney Group, a real estate firm with eight full-time employees that performs construction and property management. Focusing on the northern Virginia regions of Alexandria, Del Ray, and Virginia Hills, Justin DeVinney has repaired and found buyers for more than six houses in the city just in the past couple of years.
Before starting his company, Justin DeVinney spent several years as an Account Executive with PCI Communications, Inc. Responsible for business development, he acquired new clients and maintained ongoing relationships for the public relations company with offices on the East Coast. At this entity, he garnered experience in creative marketing, customer service, social media, communications, and other areas that he brings to his current role as an entrepreneur.
As an undergraduate, Justin DeVinney attended Plymouth State College. Studying business, he played football and won a Scholar Athlete Award. After two years, he transferred to Northeastern University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Business Marketing. During his spare time, DeVinney enjoys racing cars. Particularly fascinated by the Porsche brand, he belongs to the Sports Car Club of America, the Porsche Club of America, and the National Auto Sport Association. Recently, he participated in Watkins Glen International and competed at Virginia International Raceway and Summit Point Raceway.
Philanthropy represents another area of interest for DeVinney. During his tenure with PCI Communications, he developed a video for Habitat for Humanity International's 2010 Black Tie and Toolbelt Gala. Other groups to which Justin DeVinney contributes include Spring for Alexandria, which raises money for the city's multiple charities, and Boys Town, which helps children in need across the nation.
