Over the last two years, recent graduate Jake Flattem has built up a proven track record of sales and customer service. After he graduated from St. Mary’s University, Jake Flattem joined Howe Insurance Services as a District Manager of Sales. He managed a 15-county area in Wisconsin while selling insurance policies that cover end-of-life expenses. He increased sales, maintained relationships with existing customers, and collected referrals to generate new business.

Jake Flattem spent a year with Howe before he joined Total Hockey in Minneapolis as a Sales Representative. The firm, which has a thriving e-commerce site as well as brick and mortar outlets in Missouri, Minnesota, Illinois, and Pennsylvania, was 1,793 on Inc. Magazine’s list of fastest growing companies. In his position as a Sales Representative, Mr. Flattem developed new business from contacts in the Minneapolis hockey community and introduced new product lines such as Graf and Torspo. He provided excellent customer service in order to build lasting relationships with purchasers and successfully increased client retention rates.

Jake Flattem joined Miller/Davis Office Supplies in September 2012. He generates business-to-business (B2B) sales by serving current clients and seeking out new opportunities, identifying products that meet client needs, and remaining familiar with the day-to-day workings of his customers’ firms. Mr. Flattem seeks to uphold the Miller/Davis service-centered ethos by anticipating client requests in order to keep their offices running smoothly. Jake Flattem’s work at Miller/Davis has allowed him to develop strong B2B sales skills while perfecting his customer service abilities.
