Only a few short years ago, Robert Patrizi’s life consisted of constant travel, regular relocation, and a string of uncertain corporate jobs. Today, the native of Chicago Heights, a small city a few miles due south of Chicago, is owner of HALO [FOR MEN], a rapidly growing business and one of the most successful men’s salons in Chicago.
Robert Patrizi purchased the struggling but strategically located salon in early 2005. After considerable research on salons in Los Angeles, New York, Dallas, and London, Mr. Patrizi changed the focus of the salon from unisex to one designed especially for men. The newly remodeled HALO [FOR MEN] opened a few months later. Since that time, Bob Patrizi has opened several more locations, including those in the Chicago neighborhoods of Bucktown, Lincoln Park, and the West and South Loops.
Under Mr. Patrizi’s direction, the salon provides a relaxing, sophisticated, masculine setting created solely for urban men. In that environment, customers receive quality grooming and long-lasting, scissor and comb-based haircuts at reasonable prices. Signature services includes haircut and style, shampoo and conditioner, scalp massage, paraffin hand wax, hand massage, facial toner, free touch-up, and a complimentary beverage. Other services include consultations, hot lather shaves, color highlights, beard and mustache trim, military-style cuts, and kids’ cuts for boys 12 and under.
Bob Patrizi holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Northern Illinois University, where he maintained membership in Delta Chi fraternity. Mr. Patrizi supports numerous charitable organizations, including Toys for Tots. He is a three-year member of Movember, a corporate partnership focused on issues that impact the health of men, most notably prostate cancer. In his free time, Mr. Patrizi relaxes by spending time with his family, boating, reading, and practicing yoga.
