Rick Rambo started his law career after many years in the high-tech sector. From 1984 to 1988, he acted as Vice President for his family’s business, which specialized in civil engineering products and services. He then moved to the software engineering industry, joining T. L. James & Co., Inc. In 1989, Rick Rambo took a position in the medical industry, at Advanced Medical Systems, Inc., before branching out into aeronautics at Bell Avon, Inc. At Bell Avon, he functioned as a Project Leader, managing and implementing a management information system for a British subsidiary catering to the U.S. government. Rick Rambo went on to start his own company, Software System Developers, Inc., which developed and marketed software programs designed for maritime and offshore industries. The products rendered real-time data in 3-D graphical environments for navigational applications on ships.
Rick Rambo has had a well-rounded education and holds a number of degrees, including a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of New Orleans. In 1994, he graduated from Tulane University with both a J.D. and an M.B.A. Rick Rambo joined international law firm Fulbright & Jaworski LLP in 1993, while completing his degrees, and he assumed his current position at Morgan Lewis in 2008.
