Marketing professional Connie Du provides Thirteen Public Relations & Consulting with client-focused research that incorporates competitive analysis and knowledge of industry relations. Ms. Du’s work with the New York-based boutique public relations firm involves tailored media outreach and press releases for brands in the sectors of lifestyle services and products, as well as food and beverage. She also regularly assists client companies in marketing campaigns.
Connie Du holds several other positions of professional responsibility, including work as a Marketing Assistant with Catonsville, Maryland’s FD NeuroTechnologies, Inc. Since 2008, she has served as a Front Desk Associate with the Maryland health and fitness facility Columbia Association. Maintaining a positive environment for both staff and clients, Ms. Du clarifies customer issues and concerns over the telephone and in person.
In May 2011, Connie Du graduated cum laude from the University of Maryland (UMD) in College Park with a Bachelor of Science in Business. She studied abroad in France in the summer of 2009, undertaking course work on the classical myths of Paris. During her time in school, Ms. Du maintained affiliation with a number of campus organizations, including Club Gymnastics and the Office of Multi-Ethnic Student Education’s Academic Excellence Society. With the latter group, she held responsibilities as their Vice President of Event Planning. She also performed volunteer work with HandReach, assisting in a fundraising event for children who have experienced complex trauma injuries.
Following graduation from UMD, Connie Du served as an intern with HMA Associates, a Washington, D.C., multi-cultural health communications firm. In this capacity, she shadowed a number of staff positions, gaining a fuller understanding of the industry as a whole, and of specific assigned roles within the organization. Ms. Du also developed creative briefs, engaged in client prospecting, and editing government proposals.
Connie Du actively supports the efforts of both the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, and The Humane Society of the United States. In her free time, she enjoys gymnastics, sports, and fitness activities, as well as travel and event planning. Connie Du maintains certification in CPR/AED through The American National Red Cross.
