While a student at Brigham Young University’s Marriott School of Management, Wayne DeMeester served as a teaching assistant to an investment professor. In the mid-1990s, Wayne DeMeester attended the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Finance and Commerce to achieve the designation of Certified Investment Management Analyst. He then embarked upon a long career in the financial services industry.
Wayne DeMeester spent 16 years with Wachovia Securities, rising to the position of Managing Director of Corporate and Executive Services. He assisted individuals and institutions with finding prudent, risk-minimizing strategies to increase their wealth while protecting their assets. In 2010, Mr. DeMeester joined KBR Capital Partners, Inc., as Senior Vice President of Capital Markets, where he led seminars and individual sessions to educate accredited investors on participating in private placement opportunities.
Since retiring from the financial services industry, Wayne DeMeester has focused his energies on managing his own investments, as well as giving back to his alma mater and his community. He is a past President of the Seattle Chapter of the BYU Management Association and currently serves on the Advisory Board for the Marriott School’s Rollins Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology. He actively supports the Boy Scouts of America, Ronald McDonald House Charities, and Mamma’s Hands, a Seattle-based organization dedicated to helping homeless individuals. In his spare time, Wayne DeMeester enjoys staying active by playing golf and coaching youth soccer and basketball.
