Based in Fort Worth, Texas, Dr. Marta Dahiya has more than a decade of clinical multi-specialty experience in radiation oncology. With the John Peter Smith Cancer Center, she treats patients with a wide range of tumors, including sarcomas, and head and neck malignancies. Dr. Marta Dahiya engages with female patients in treating conditions such as breast cancer and gynecological cancer.
Dr. Dahiya utilizes leading edge technologies such as IGRT, SBRT, and IMRT, and is CyberKnife certified. Engaged closely in clinical practices at the Center, she also undertakes HDR brachytherapy. She has a core commitment to serving the needs of the underprivileged and has never turned down a patient for lack of insurance.
Beginning her career as a physician in Antioquia, Colombia, in the early 1990s, Dr. Dahiya undertook research and residency work at the University of Texas Health Science Center. Dr. Marta Dahiya has authored a number of papers in her field, including “Oropharyngeal candidiasis caused by non-albicans yeast in patients receiving external beam radiotherapy for head-and neck cancer” (International Journal of Radiation Oncology • Biology • Physics, 2003).
