A doctoral student at Stanford University in California, Saree Kayne is pursuing a PhD in cultural anthropology with a specific focus on organizational aspects of the International Olympic Committee and the Olympic Games. Prior to this, she earned a bachelor of arts in interdisciplinary studies in the humanities at the University of Chicago, where she studied topics including the philosophy of science and history. While at the University of Chicago, Saree Kayne earned placement on the dean’s list and was selected as a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society.
In addition to fulfilling her academic responsibilities at Stanford, Saree Kayne is an experienced equestrian and has participated in competitive horseback riding and show jumping throughout the United States and Europe. Furthermore, she is an avid traveler and has spent time in various international destinations including Hong Kong, South Africa, New Zealand, Argentina, and others. She also enjoys cooking and tending to her vegetable garden.
