While attending Newton South High School, he received news coverage for his feats as a running back with the school's football team. After enrolling at Curry College, Evan Hoffman switched his focus to lacrosse and continued playing after transferring to Wesley College. He supplemented his studies by coaching 13- and 14-year-old lacrosse players and serving as a personal trainer with Fitness Together. Before joining Boston Sports Club, Hoffman worked as an associate and personal trainer with Union Gym and Athletic Club. His responsibilities included promoting the facility, conducting various training classes, running the food and drink station, and attracting new clients.
