Marta Batmasian is an active community leader who has served on the boards of organizations like Boca Raton Symphonic Pops, Caldwell Theater, and Tri-County Humane Society. Earning her many accolades and recognition on public television’s WXEL in 2003, her community work continues to this day with the National Association of Armenian Studies and Research in Boston and the Fund for Armenia’s Relief in New York. Marta Batmasian’s passion and involvement in the community has also led her to completing the Harvard Business School’s Executive Program for Nonprofit Board Leadership.
Aside from her community achievements, Marta Batmasian owns and operates Mar-Mel Travel, Insurance and Real Estate Company alongside her husband. Stemming from their real estate management experience in the 1970s with multi-unit residential properties in New York City, the business has grown to include a commercial division in Boca Raton, where it is now headquartered. Offices remain operational in Massachusetts where properties are still maintained.
Ms. Batmasian is a graduate of Brandeis University with a doctorate in near eastern studies. She also earned a masters degree in business administration from Barry University in Miami.
